What you get for the money
Artcraft sits in the mid tier, but the published warranty reads more like a premium brand's. Indoor fixtures carry lifetime coverage on electrical components, five years on finish against premature wear or peeling and five years on LED components. Outdoor fixtures carry 25 years on casting and body and 25 years on electric wiring and sockets, with five years on LED components and five years on finish — including a separately listed Coastal Elements Finish at five years. Labor and shipping are not covered, and commercial use voids the warranty.
Where it gets used
Artcraft is a residential decorative line: dining rooms, kitchens and islands, entries, bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways, plus exterior wall, post and pendant lighting for entries, porches and garages. It also carries mirrors and an LED range. Note that the published warranty excludes commercial use, so for a restaurant or hotel job you should confirm coverage in writing rather than assume it.
Specifying notes
The coastal language is explicit and honest: Artcraft states that the environment within ten miles of a sea coast can be extremely corrosive and that even with appropriate maintenance products in that environment will typically deteriorate more, so some corrosion there is treated as normal wear and not a warranty claim. It also treats metal finishes as living finishes that change with sunlight and pollutants, and excludes damage from paints, solvents, chemicals and abrasive cleaning — so rinse exterior fixtures with fresh water, do not scrub them. Confirm the location rating per catalog number before installing anything outdoors.
