About Color Kinetics
Color Kinetics was founded in 1997 and is a Signify brand for dynamic architectural lighting. Its Burlington, Massachusetts site is described by the company as the leading global research and development center for Signify’s LED luminaire business, and the brand is also carried in the Genlyte Solutions portfolio in North America alongside Day-Brite CFI and Gardco.
The line is built around color-changing and white-tunable LED systems and the controls that drive them, rather than around a single fixture type. Exterior architectural luminaires, interior cove and accent lighting, flexible lighting strands, direct-view panels and submersible spotlights for water features all run from the same control layer, which is what lets a bridge, a facade and a lobby cove behave as one show instead of three separate systems.
