What you get for the money

Aperture sizes run from 1" through 4", so verify ceiling thickness, plenum depth and IC/non-IC requirements against the specific housing before ordering — CSL publishes shallow-plenum options precisely because this is where projects get stuck. Confirm the damp or wet location listing on any fixture headed for a shower, covered lanai or exterior soffit; not every downlight in a family carries the same rating. Dimming protocol and driver type vary by family, so match the driver to the control system on paper before the ceiling closes.
