What you get for the money
Dabmar sits at the value end of outdoor and landscape lighting. The trade-off is honest: you get a large, in-stock catalog and low unit cost, but not the cast-bronze construction or the long finish warranties of a specification landscape brand. Where the line does step up is the 316 marine-grade stainless steel bollard series, which is a materially different product from the standard cast-aluminum bollards.
Where it gets used
Commercial and multifamily site lighting, HOA and condo grounds, parking areas, walkways, retail exteriors and landscape contractor work are the bread and butter. In residential work it shows up on path and uplighting runs, well lights on palms, step and hardscape lighting and driveway bollards. The fiberglass and 316 stainless bollards are the pieces worth looking at first for beachfront and marina-adjacent sites.
Specifying notes
Standard bodies are cast aluminum with powdercoat; for salt-air exposure specify the 316 marine-grade stainless or fiberglass bollards instead, since 316 stainless and fiberglass do not corrode the way coated aluminum does near the ocean. The range covers both 12V low-voltage and 120V line-voltage, and mixing the two on one project is a common source of ordering errors - confirm voltage and transformer sizing before releasing an order. Much of the catalog is still offered in legacy HID, fluorescent and induction alongside LED, so verify the source type on the exact catalog number rather than assuming LED.
