About Diode LED
Diode LED is the wholesale and manufacturing division of Elemental LED, headquartered in Reno, Nevada, and describes itself as America’s largest provider of low-voltage linear lighting solutions. It sells through more than three thousand lighting showrooms and electrical distributors, which is why the brand is familiar to electricians long before it is familiar to homeowners.
The line is tape light and linear: LED tape and strip, linear fixtures and grazers, task, accent and cove lighting, constant-voltage drivers, low-voltage accessories and complete tape light kits. BLAZE and BLAZE X are the volume tape families, VALENT and VALENT X the higher-output ones, and VALENT Warm Dim reproduces the way an incandescent source warms as it dims. STREAMLITE, DAZZLE PIXEL and SQUIGGLY cover flexible and pixel-addressable work, and X-TIR is the brand’s linear optics technology.
Cove and under-cabinet work is where most South Florida residential and hospitality jobs run into trouble, and it is almost always the same two causes: a driver that will not dim smoothly with the chosen wall control, and a tape run longer than the voltage drop allows. Diode LED publishes a 120V linear system with five field-switchable color temperatures and tape warranties from five to twelve years, and it will build fully finished, ready-to-install fixtures to length rather than shipping a reel and a hope.

What is the difference between BLAZE and VALENT?
BLAZE and BLAZE X are the volume tape light families that cover most cove and under-cabinet work. VALENT and VALENT X are the higher-output families for longer runs and applications where the tape has to compete with daylight or throw further.
What is VALENT Warm Dim?
Warm Dim tape drops in color temperature as it dims, reproducing the warm glow of an incandescent source. It is usually the right answer in a residence or a restaurant, where dimming to a cool white reads as wrong even when the level is correct.
Can Diode LED build finished fixtures rather than tape on a reel?
Yes. The company builds fully finished, ready-to-install linear fixtures to length, which removes the field cutting, soldering and voltage-drop guesswork that causes most cove lighting callbacks.
