About Fire Farm Lighting
Fire Farm Lighting was founded in 1991 in Oakland, California by Adam Jackson Pollock and moved to Elkader, Iowa in 2001, building custom and standard decorative fixtures for contract and hospitality projects. In March 2021 manufacturing moved to El Sol Custom Lighting in St. Joseph, Michigan, and the designs are now produced there as FireFarm-by-ElSol licensed designs, still made in the USA. Pollock continues as a consulting designer and engineer for the licensed line.

Fire Farm is a premium, project-oriented line rather than a stock catalog brand. It is made to order in a 25,000 square foot facility in Michigan and marketed as 100% made in the USA, which is the main thing the price buys along with the ability to modify size, finish and configuration for a specific room. Custom drums, cylinders and one-off chandeliers are a standing part of the business, not an exception to it.
Where it gets used
The line is aimed at contract and hospitality work — restaurants, hotel lobbies and corridors, corporate lobbies, libraries, healthcare and higher-education spaces — plus high-end residential where a large custom pendant or chandelier is called for. Felt-based product such as FeltGood is used where a room needs both a fixture and some acoustic help, which is a common restaurant and open-office problem. Large sculptural families like Cloud are specified for double-height volumes.

This is made-to-order product, so lead time is a project variable rather than a catalog number — fix the schedule with the factory before you commit to an install date. Because the designs are now built under license by El Sol, confirm current specifications, finishes and any construction changes against a current spec sheet rather than an archived Fire Farm document.
