Oggetti is a Miami design house founded in 1975 that sells furniture, decor and lighting; the lighting line trades as Oggetti Luce. Fixtures are made by artisans in Italy and elsewhere, with a significant amount of hand-blown Murano glass and Venetian production. For a South Florida project it is a local supplier of European artisan glass, which is an unusual combination.

What you get for the money
Oggetti Luce is a premium line. What the money buys is artisan production — hand-blown Murano glass, Venetian manufacture, ceramic and molded metal work — rather than a mass-produced casting, so pieces vary and lead times reflect that. Because Oggetti also sells furniture and decor, it is often used by designers coordinating a whole room from one source rather than buying lighting in isolation.
Where it gets used
The fixtures are specified for high-end residential dining rooms, entries and primary suites, and for hospitality and restaurant interiors in Miami and Fort Lauderdale where a hand-made Italian fixture sets the tone. The Palm and Leaf chandeliers, with their tropical and botanical references, read particularly well in South Florida coastal and resort interiors. Sconces and table and floor lights fill in the supporting layers.

Hand-blown Murano glass varies in color, thickness and form between pieces — that is the material, not a defect — so order a room together and prepare the client. Verify US voltage, driver and dimming protocol for any Italian-made reference rather than assuming the European specification carries over.
