What you get for the money
Progress is mid-tier and volume-oriented: broad finish availability, deep stock and pricing built for builder and multi-family packages rather than one-off designer specification. The Coleto Brands warranty published for Progress runs one year on fixture and finish for both indoor and outdoor fixtures, with three or five years on the LED engine depending on product and application, and a lifetime warranty on ceiling fan motors. Interior lighting systems run three to five years depending on product and application.
Where it gets used
Production and multi-family housing, renovation work, commercial corridors and offices, exterior wall and post lighting on residential developments, and ceiling fans throughout. It is the line contractors reach for when the same fixture family has to cover a whole building in a consistent finish at a controlled price.
Specifying notes
For anyone building within ten miles of water in Florida, read the Progress warranty carefully: it excludes coastal deterioration outright, stating that products within ten miles of a body of water will naturally deteriorate faster and that this expected corrosion is considered normal wear and tear. Fading, discoloration and patina on outdoor finishes are likewise not covered. Progress does offer Durashield and Weather+ finishes with extended coastal protection, but that protection covers the exposed surface finish only — not the hardware behind it. The warranty also voids for sustained winds of 40 mph or more, which is worth knowing before a hurricane season claim.
