What you get for the money
Quoizel is a mid-tier residential line — more design range and better construction than a builder-basic brand, well below the trade luxury houses. The warranty is published and clear: three years on Quoizel lighting products generally, ninety days on glass and shade components, and five years against finish defects on outdoor fixtures using the Coastal Armour, Seaside Armour or Exterior Elements finishes. That five-year finish term is the concrete reason to consider Quoizel on a waterfront job.
Where it gets used
Interior work covers dining rooms, kitchens, entries, bedrooms and baths in traditional through coastal-transitional homes, plus builder and remodel projects at volume. Outdoor is where the brand earns its place in South Florida: entry lanterns, post mounts, hanging porch lanterns and wall sconces on properties exposed to salt air, using Coastal Armour construction and finishing. The portable lamp range fills in bedside and living-room layers.
Specifying notes
Quoizel publishes ETL location ratings (dry, damp, wet) as a filter, and you should use it — confirm wet rating on anything uncovered and damp rating on covered lanais and bathrooms. Coastal Armour fixtures are the ones with the marine-grade coating and the five-year finish warranty; a bronze or brass finish from the general outdoor range does not carry that term. Note the exclusions honestly: Quoizel treats finish change from environmental exposure as normal wear, and excludes force majeure and severe weather — so a hurricane or long-term salt exposure is not a warranty event, and rinsing exterior fixtures regularly is still the right maintenance.
