Premium. The value is that a single manufacturer can supply the recessed, linear, track and decorative on one project with matched finishes and one point of warranty. Visual Comfort states one year on products generally, five years or 50,000 hours on integrated electronics and LED, five years or 15,000 hours on LED bulbs, and a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects in Landscape Collection fixture construction.
Where it gets used
High-end residential kitchens, great rooms and stairwells for the rail and cable systems; whole-house recessed layouts using Element and Entra; retail, restaurant and boutique hospitality where a designer wants clean apertures and matching decorative pendants. Landscape and outdoor product covers residential exteriors and entries.
Specifying notes
The Florida-relevant detail is in the warranty text: Visual Comfort states that corrosion and deterioration in a coastal environment is considered normal wear, and that claims for finish failure or component corrosion caused by coastal conditions are not covered. It also excludes fading, discoloration or patina on any product used outdoors. Practically, that means outdoor fixtures near the water should be selected for material - solid brass, copper or marine-grade stainless - and maintained, not chosen on finish warranty. On the systems side, monorail and cable runs need transformer sizing and support spacing worked out before ordering.
