Visionaire Lighting: Area, Flood, Bollard and the 590 nm Turtle-Safe Range
Visionaire Lighting has been building specification-grade exterior LED since 2000, with published capability in injection molding for optics, surface-mount PCB and light-source production, die, steel and sand casting, powder coating, CNC robotic fabrication and metal spinning. On this coast it earns its place two ways: a deep published optics matrix on the area families, and one of the broader amber wildlife ranges on my card.

Turtle safe: what Visionaire publishes, and the one thing to settle in writing
This is the reason Visionaire comes up on a beachfront parcel in Broward, Palm Beach or Monroe. The LED is published as True Amber AlInGaP at 590 nm, supplied as standard on the turtle-safe models, and there is a published Turtle Safe Hybrid option that runs amber during nesting season and white light off season, with custom shielding on request.

One thing to settle before a coastal submittal: Visionaire’s turtle-safe solutions page states that listing with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is currently pending, while the turtle-safe brochure and the Lusso Turtle Safe spec sheet carry Certified Wildlife Lighting and Wildlife Certified designations. No FWC certification number is published for any model. On a parcel where the permit turns on an FWC-certified fixture, I get the current certification in writing from the factory before it goes on the schedule rather than reading it off a brochure. Who represents Visionaire Lighting in South Florida?
I do, through SESCO Lighting, in Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Monroe.
Is Visionaire turtle-safe lighting FWC certified?
Visionaire publishes both answers. Its turtle-safe solutions page says listing with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is currently pending; its turtle-safe brochure and the Lusso Turtle Safe spec sheet carry Certified Wildlife Lighting designations. No FWC certification number is published for any model. If your permit turns on it, tell me and I will get the current position in writing from the factory before it goes on the schedule.
What wavelength are the Visionaire amber fixtures?
590 nm, published as True Amber AlInGaP, supplied as standard on the turtle-safe models. Visionaire does not publish CCT or CRI for those models, so if the ordinance is written around a wavelength floor rather than a certified-product list, that 590 nm figure is the number it turns on.
Does Visionaire publish salt-spray hours?
No. There is no ASTM B117 figure on any spec sheet, on the poles and bases document, or in the warranty. The only published coastal provision is an optional zinc-free primer, recommended within three miles of the ocean. On an oceanfront parcel I would either get the test data in writing or put a line that publishes it in the other column.
Can I use the published EPA as a wind rating?
No. Visionaire publishes EPA in square feet per model, which is an input to a pole calculation, not a rating for the assembly. There is no published wind speed, no ASCE 7 or AASHTO basis, no Miami-Dade NOA and no Florida Product Approval. Run the head load through the pole calculator and take the pole to its own published table.
How long is the Visionaire warranty?
Five years on LED fixtures and LED engines, ten years on Array electrical, five years on OEM LED drivers, two years on non-LED products. The finish term is published two ways — two years in the warranty document and five years on the spec sheets — so get it in writing for a coastal job. Coverage is United States and Canada only, and fatigue failure from induced vibration is excluded.
